This CD is an artistic creative representation and interpretation of our ceremonial icaro's (shamanic songs). When we play them live, they are brought acoustic and often with no more than our voices and a guitar. For this CD we amused ourselves by creatively improving the songs with spheres.
This CD can also assist you in learning the lyrics and melodies, which is nice when you come to one of our concerts or singing circles, like a cacao ceremony. Together we join forces and bring light into every dark place. The tone in which the songs are played and written, is the same as the live acoustic versions.

This icaro is traditionally sung to 'cleanse'. Often also to purify, using the frequencies and vibrations of places of power on Earth. In this version we open up the theme a bit more and give the reflection on how we, as human beings, travel the world to help find ourselves. By the whole world we mean not only the places on earth, but 'everything' outside of us. We also travel in dreams to other realities, we travel in thoughts and stories, we also travel through our relationships with fellow human beings. All trips outwards with the aim of seeing, feeling and recognizing ourselves, our nature in divine reflection.
The journey is a means. The places of power are portals to take, and to feel that you can only find yourself deep inside. There you’ll find your oneness with everything. When we really come home, this changes your perception on the world, with all its creations (people, animals, elements, ...) and we can enjoy creation with a clear eye. Knowing that we ourselves are part of it all and that we shape these realities. This icaro asks you to go in, and make contact with all the power places you've been to (forests, temples, mountains, rivers,...) and feel how you find yourself again each time you visit these places again.
In this song we sing about two regions located in Peru. Loreto (Loretzo pronounced) is Peru's largest region, located in the Amazon Basin in the northeast of the country. Loreto borders Ecuador and Colombia in the North, in the East to Brazil, in the South to Ucayali and in the West to the regions Amazonas and San Martín. The capital is Iquitos. It is home to indigenous peoples, such as the Urarina. San Martin is also a large region in the north of Peru where you will find numerous powerful places. You can change these names by other names, as we often sing about the river 'Ucayali' or the centre of our Maestro; 'Mayantuyacu'. Every time you name a place, you connect with this spirit and bring the power of this place into the room, into your heart.
The text is in ancient Ashaninka, from which the literal translation is not known. However, here in the text we incorporated the Ashaninka word 'Kamarampi' (Ayahuasca). We bring the spirit of this master plant into the song as a connecting spirit between the powerful places out there with the powerful place deep

Thank you Maneesh, this is helping through some heavy work! Also I am often dancing to the songs. I really enjoy the menu of instruments and nature sounds…purring cheetah, owl, jungle birds and more. Very beautiful. The native sounds, beats, the ending of the album with the bells is a wonderful crescendo and my favorite. Like a music box :) blessings of ancestors, enlightened realms, and the mothers loving heart! MarieKarla1111
I heard a few of the songs from this album at a sacred sound healing retreat. My favourite tracks are Que Florezca La Luz and Nuestro Mundo. Absolutely stunning music I never get tired of listening. Dj Rise
