It is now 2 am. The ceremony is completed and slowly, step by step we leave the Maloka on the banks of the Boiling River. Under the beautiful stars we walk up the mountain to our sleeping place. The night is hot and the medicines work deeply. The Maestro's chants have ceased, but now the jungle and the river are singing their last song. Nature is the greatest shaman in the rainforest. Her song is sung undisturbed and little by little we remember our own nature. The sounds of the jungle help to make the transition very conscious between being awake and dreaming. During the dream, the journey simply continues into a state of alertness; I am here and there at the same time. In this recording you can hear the crickets and bats and in the far distance the sound of the powerful Boiling River. Now and then you hear a sound coming from an insect or animal rustling, or something falling from the trees.

Het is nu 2u ‘s nachts. De ceremonie is afgerond en langzaam, stap voor stap verlaten we de Maloka aan de oevers van de Boiling River. Onder de prachtige sterrenhemel wandelen we de berg op naar onze slaapplek. De nacht is heet en de medicijnen werken diep. De gezangen van de Maestro zijn gestopt, maar nu zingen de jungle en de rivier hun laatste lied. De natuur is de grootste sjamaan in het regenwoud. Onverstoord wordt haar lied gezongen en beetje bij beetje herinneren we ons weer, onze eigen natuur. De geluiden van de jungle helpen om de overgang zeer bewust te maken tussen wakker zijn en dromen. Tijdens de droom gaat de reis gewoon verder naar een staat van alertheid; ik ben hier en tegelijk ook daar. Bij deze opname hoor je de krekels en vleermuizen en in de verte ook weer de dragende kracht van de Boiling River. Af en toe hoor je een geluid afkomstig van geritsel van insect of dier, of iets wat uit de bomen valt.
