Night falls quickly. From 5 pm the crickets chirp louder and louder and the atmosphere in and around Mayantuyacu changes. The nocturnal animals are gradually appearing. The tarantula leaves its burrow, the bat bites at insects. Maestro cricket right in front of the microphone demands focus and attention. Don't be distracted, stay close to your heart and let your intention arise from there. Within hours, the ceremony will begin under the direction of Juan Flores. By 6 pm it is completely dark. There is nothing for it but to wait quietly in bed, safe under the mosquito net, yet always with a slight tension for the meeting with the spirit of the Grandmother.

De avond valt snel. Vanaf 17u tsjirpen de krekels luider en luider en verandert de sfeer in en rond Mayantuyacu. De nachtdieren komen stilaan te voorschijn. De tarantula verlaat zijn hol, de vleermuis hapt naar insecten. Maestro krekel recht voor de microfoon vraagt om focus en aandacht. Laat je niet afleiden, blijf bij je hart en laat vandaar jouw intentie ontstaan. Binnen enkel uren begint de ceremonie onder leiding van Juan Flores. Tegen 18u is het helemaal donker. Er zit niets anders op dan rustig af te wachten in bed, veilig onder het muggennet, toch telkens met een lichte spanning voor de ontmoeting met de Grootmoeder .

Om de spirit van de Boiling River helemaal te ervaren, raden we aan om het volledige album te downloaden en te beluisteren met aandacht en geduld doorheen een goede kwaliteit hoofdtelefoon.
