    This CD is an artistic creative representation and interpretation of our ceremonial icaro's (shamanic songs). When we play them live, they are brought acoustic and often with no more than our voices and a guitar. For this CD we amused ourselves by creatively improving the songs with spheres.

    This CD can also assist you in learning the lyrics and melodies, which is nice when you come to one of our concerts or singing circles, like a cacao ceremony. Together we join forces and bring light into every dark place. The tone in which the songs are played and written, is the same as the live acoustic versions.

This famous icaro by Rosa Giove can be found in countless versions on the Internet. Rosa works at the Takiwasi centre in Tarapoto, Peru. This centre works with people who suffer from addictions and uses master plants for this purpose. The founder of the center, Dr. Jacques Mabit was also a student of our Maestro Juan Flores. Rosa Giove gave us permission to use the text of her icaro and make our own version of it. This song came to us for the first time through Ema'a Drolma Mata. "It was the first icaro I (Juanita) learned from her in 2004, she opened the voice of my heart".
